Diegans to assist in the management, marketing,
operations and maintenance of the San Diego
Civic Theatre in the heart of downtown and the
historic Balboa Theatre in the Gaslamp Quarter.

weekend employment opportunities as well as
some weekday, daytime shifts. For many of our

part-time positions or college class schedules. For others, working at the San Diego
Civic Theatre and the historic Balboa Theatre provides an opportunity to be part of the

Part-Time Positions – we continuously accept applications for the following positions,
and interview as needed.
Housekeepers ($11.25 per hour as of 06/01/12) – Maintain the cleanliness and
preparedness of the venues. Ensure guests and clients enjoy clean, safe, wellstocked
and sanitary facilities.
Public Safety Representatives ($13.37 per hour as of 06/01/12) – Responsible for
greeting guests, assisting with directions, patrolling the facilities and grounds, providing
basic first aid and prevention/response to disturbances. Provide protection, security
and safety for San Diego Theatres’ clients, guests, property and facilities.
Ushers ($11.10 per hour as of 06/01/12) – Welcome, greet, direct and seat guests.
Verify tickets and seat locations, distribute programs, and generally assist guests in
their theater-going experience.
