AT&T to Provide 5,000 Career Opportunities for Veterans and Lead New Veteran Talent Exchange Network
Dear Friend,
I wanted to share with you some news about AT&T’s commitment to hiring our nation’s veterans. In conjunction with a White House event with President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Dr. Jill Biden and other companies supporting the Joining Forces Initiative, AT&T announced that the company is stepping up its veteran recruiting efforts with the goal of hiring 5,000 veterans and their family members into career opportunities over the next five years.

AT&T also announced that it plans to lead an initiative with JPMorgan Chase and the
100,000 Jobs Mission to launch a veteran talent exchange later this year. The exchange will enable active-duty military and veteran job candidates to “opt-in” to a talent-sharing database to facilitate the sharing and referral of veteran candidates among participating 100,000 Jobs Mission member companies.

Read more about this new hiring goal and the veteran talent exchange in a blog post by Carol Wilner, Vice President, Federal and Third Party Public Affairs at AT&T on the AT&T Consumer Blog.

AT&T sees it as an honor to support members of the military in their service, and is proud to recruit them as they transition to career opportunities in the private sector. To help veterans find career opportunities, AT&T has created tools including:

·         A veteran career site, which includes tools for veterans to match their military skills with AT&T jobs;
·         A military talent attraction manager who focuses on military recruitment;
·         And a Careers for Veterans program where AT&T Veterans provide job search advice to help thousands of newly transitioning veterans optimize their career searches.
·         In addition to its commitment to hiring veterans, AT&T has been a pioneer and leader in the inclusion of disabled-veteran-owned business enterprises in the corporate supply chain.

We’re honored to support and hire the brave men and women who serve our country. To learn more about our military programs, please visit www.att.com/troopsupport.
