As conveyed to all staff last Friday by Chief Deputy Director Sharon Hilliard, the Employment Development Department (EDD) has been granted supplemental spending authority to hire permanent intermittent staff in the Unemployment Insurance program to help stabilize service levels for Californians receiving unemployment. This is a significant change that the EDD is aggressively acting upon in order to increase staffing levels as quickly as possible. As a result, the job postings are already online and we’re appealing to our EDD employee community to share the message with anyone you feel may be a qualified candidate for one of these positions.
In order to be considered for an employment program representative (EPR) position, candidates must first obtain eligibility on the State exam.
