STEPPING INTO
A NEW CAREER?

THE PROGRAM

The Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) of Veterans Association of
North County (VANC) is a free service provided to all ranks and branches of our
dedicated military personnel re-entering the civilian job market and veterans
who are currently unemployed or underemployed.
Through our workshop series, we provide hands-on training, coaching and tools
to help you be better prepared to:
• Assess your marketable skills
• Create dynamic resumes
• Interview with confi dence
• Set clear career goals
• Network effectively
• Job search purposefully

THE PERKS

In addition to the program giving you a step toward a new career and helping to
make your transition easier, you will have the opportunity to:
• Get more involved in the local community
• Be fi rst to network with prospective employers
• Make business connections that could lead to
future employment or resources
...and step into your next career!

MAKING THE
TRANSITION
EASIER

“CTAP has helped me tremendously. I received one-on-one
instruction from the facilitators and coaches on how to be
better prepared to separate from the Marine Corps and
transition into the civilian community. The classes covered
everything from job search techniques to interviewing and
resumes. They even helped me determine what career path I
want to take. I have recommended it to everyone about to
separate from the military and will continue to do so.”

- 1st Sgt John Paul Doring, USMC
