Customer Service Rep/SENTRI Enrollment Otay Mesa Border




 

Seeking Qualified Applicants

Bilingual Spanish & U.S. Citizenship Required.

 

 

 

Position:         Customer Service Representative


Site:                 SENTRI Enrollment Center, Otay Mesa Border Crossing

 

Schedule:        Full-time & On-Call, Monday thru Friday; may require weekends.  (Subject to change)

                        F/T:  1:30pm – 10:00pm

                        On-Call:  Varied hours from 8:00am – 10pm  

                                                                       

Pay rate:         $16.97/hour

 

Duties:  Provide exceptional customer service and office support assistance to the U.S. Customs & Border Protection in performing verification of applicant information on potential SENTRI program participants.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering general inquiries regarding SENTRI program
  • Processing and interviewing applicants
  • Entering and verifying applicant supplied information by accessing Government databases
  • Issuing SENTRI identification cards and replacing lost or damaged cards
  • Handling calls in our Call Center

 

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Bilingual Spanish – fluency a must
  • 1-2 years experience in an office setting with customer interface (or equivalent undergraduate study)
  • High School Graduate
  • EXCEPTIONAL customer service and communication skills (Spanish & English)
  • Computer experience
  • EXCEPTIONAL attention to detail
  • 30 wpm typing
  • Must currently live in the U.S.  Must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years within the past 5 years.

 

Background Investigation Required for Security Clearance


 

Selected candidates will be required to pass a security background investigation check and approval by Customs & Border Protection prior to beginning work.  This process may take 3 – 8 months.
