Career Transitional Services (CTS), VetReady and Diversity Solutions would like to extend an invitation to participate in the 2013 Blue Collar Career & Resource Fair.
This event will cater to the general public at-large and special invitations will go out to our veterans, active duty and military spouses, non-violent ex-offenders, and talented blue collar job seekers from all walks of life.
With all of the corporate mergers and downsizings and the government sectors freezes as well, there is not much left for the mid-life workers. Therefore, we believe that professional candidates from all walks of life will be drawn to the Blue Collar Career & Resource Fair as an opportunity to gain entry into the workplace with selected companies of interest.
With our prisons being over crowded, the state of California is expected to release some 10,000 inmates by the end of the year! It is incumbent upon us community members, social services, non-profits and hiring employers to rally together to create employment solutions for those who desperately need our support.
In addition, VetReady has learned from hosting its Support our Troops & Resource fairs that many talented veterans are very interested in blue collar job opportunities. The skills they acquired from their tenure in the military make them very qualified for a variety of blue collar positions within many industrial sectors.
