Advanced Test Equipment Rentals (www.atecorp.com) is a Hi-Tech company that ships equipment to Customers world-wide. Our fast pace environment requires an additional Calibration Technician who will apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate inspection, measurement, environmental and a wide variety of equipment such as AC/DC, Frequency, RF/Microwave, etc. The Calibration Technician will identify and utilize appropriate manual and automated measurement procedures. This position will receive minimal instruction on work, applying job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of difficult tasks, and working on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
Duties:
1. Calibrate test equipment
2. Functional test on equipment and EOR's (end of rentals)
3. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of equipment
4. Develop calibration procedures and methods,
5. Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data
6. Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action
7. Identify and correct measurement errors
8. Prepare calibration reports and certificates
9. Perform uncertainty evaluation and measurements
10. And other duties as requested
Required EXPERIENCE • TMDE/PMEL certified or Associates degree in Electrical Technologies• "Minimum of 3 years calibration experience in commercial lab"• Strong knowledge of electronic theory• PMEL, Algebra, AND Intermediate computer skills · Proficient in use of MS Word and Excel & MUDCATZ
Qualifications · · Must be able to perform general math and algebra functions · Understanding of Basic Statistics · Must possess good written and oral, communication skills · Intermediate ability to troubleshoot repair equipment · Minimum three years of calibration experience some of which can be offset with formal metrology training · Knowledge of Quality Management system (ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 ) · Strong attention to details · Must be a self-motivator, work as a team player, in a fast pace environment. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance
