As you know, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation
sponsors the Hiring Our Heroes Job Fairs taking place around the country. To
date, they have hosted over 400 hiring fairs in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and
the District of Columbia. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is a partner
with the Chamber for these events through a Memorandum of Understanding, signed
by Secretary Shinseki. Please know the companies attending these fairs are real
employers with real JOBS. In fact, over 14,100 Veterans and military spouses
that we know of have obtained jobs through their events. As “Hiring Our Heroes”
moves into their 2013 schedule, the excitement and momentum of these job fairs
has gained tremendous attention.

Veterans seeking employment should register and
attend these free events. In addition to jobs, the Hiring Our Heroes event and
schedules include on-site employment workshops, Veteran service providers,

designed for that particular community, bringing national, state and local resources
together to help Veterans and their families. Both Employers and Job seekers
should sign up early as spaces go quickly!
