Calling on Veterans to Volunteer tutoring Youths

Subject: Volunteer Opportunity

Greetings Job Seekers!

Gloria Taaca, M.B.A. – Teacher with the San Diego County Office of Education, Juvenile Court and Community Schools, is seeking interested Veterans who would like to volunteer 2 to 4 hours a week, assisting with disadvantaged youths ages 14 – 18, with questions on the CA Exit Exam for High School and with answering questions in preparation with the GED . . . tutoring if you will.

Should you be interested, you would simply come into the SMCC between 0900 and 1300 and report to the Youth Room (Across from the Manpower room/Skills Lab).

Gloria would in turn be happy to write any volunteers a Letter of Recommendation.  In addition to the Letter of Recommendation, you could add this as volunteer time with the San Diego Office of Education Juvenile Court and Community Schools on your resume.

Something to consider!

Respectfully,

Christopher L. Harris
