The City of La Mesa has opened a recruitment for Fire Marshal. This position is open until the needs of the City are met so interested applicants should apply immediately.
This position requires:
- At least five years full-time, paid work fire experience of which two years would have been in the Fire Prevention Bureau.
- An AA/AS degree from a community college, or equivalent, in fire science or related field, including course work in supervision and/or management supplemented by California State Certified Courses of Fire Prevention 1a, 1b & 1c and Fire Investigation 1a & 1b.
- Possession of Fire Investigator I certificate issued by the California State Fire Marshal
- Possession of Fire Prevention Officer certificate issued by the California State Fire Marshal
- Possession of or ability to obtain an appropriate valid California driver’s license
