New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Southern California was nominated and selected by the California Employer Advisory Council as the Employer of the Year for the "exemplary contribution in hiring our American heroes, our Veterans."

 

New Horizons of Southern California to Host Troops to Tech Job Fair
 
New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Southern California will host Troops to Tech Careers on January 22, aimed at helping veterans transition into information technology careers.  The event will also include a free job fair.  Several companies looking to hire will be in attendance.  If your company is interested in hosting a free booth to speak with veterans about open positions, please contact Cindy Sutherland at (714) 221-3121 or at csutherland@nhsocal.com.
                                            
In partnership with CompTIA and others, this free event will include several presentations focusing on transitioning into an information technology career.  Topics presented will include the CompTIA Troops to Tech Careers Initiative, Microsoft Tracks and Certifications, 2013 IT Hiring and Compensation Trends, Transitioning Out from a Veteran's Perspective and Vocational Services, among others.
   
The event will be on Tuesday, January 22, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at New Horizons Culver City, located at 100 Corporate Pointe, Suite 270, Culver City, CA, 90230.  Admission is free, and there will be food and beverages provided.
