Government Customers? The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of
several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early
in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability

for a Manager of Service to join our team in San Diego, CA.

Job Description:

The successful Manager of Service and Service Partner Distributors will have the
knowledge and skill set necessary to support the Raytheon Anschütz Program in executing
ownership of technical service activities on Anschütz systems in support of new
and in-service equipment installations. The Raytheon Anschütz Manager of Service
and Service Partner Distributors will be responsible for managing the following
Company and Program objectives:


* Technical support (Project level)
* Supports Dealers/customers to specify Anschütz packages and systems for customers
* Controls Dealer and Service Partner Network in the US
* Evaluates existing and potential partners in view of their performance
* Give recommendations regarding appoint of new dealers/termination of existing

This position can be a salary grade A04 or A05, based on the candidate's qualifications
as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for this

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


* BS or BA in a scientific/technical field, and a minimum 6 years of directly relevant
professional experience, or equivalent (AS degree or equivalent finance/business/technical
education, plus 10 years related experience, or a minimum of 8 years direct experience
working in a responsible technical and or management position directly with Anschütz
navigation equipment and systems.
* A minimum of 4 years of technical support of engineered electronic navigation

/ Estimator

Job Summary

The Estimator's main purpose is to develop business opportunities and produce profitable
and successful estimates/proposals for his/her respective product-service line.
In doing this, the Project Manager/ Estimator with maintain responsibility for the
preparation and follow-up of all bids and proposals.

Responsibilities


* Assist in formulating and evaluating the creation and maintenance of sales and
strategic goals.
* Ensure that all bids are reviewed by the DVP before progressing on bid and proposal
efforts, as well as allowing for bid and proposal review by another cost-estimator
or subject matter expert for thoroughness.
* Continued development of the Company's Core Values, Vision, and Mission Statement.
* Visit the project sites to visually confirm the job conditions.
* Use tables and data accumulated from past performance and new quotations from
material suppliers and/or sub contractors to calculate project costs.
* Assure that all the required bonds, insurance certificates, government licenses,
and permits for each project have been applied for or obtained.
* Develop materials lists and work orders to be available for the project and assure
that all the latest changes have been incorporated.
* Coordinate with the VP of Operations to schedule work in accordance with the desired
(contract) completion date.
* With the final approval of the DVP, suggest updated procedures and policies for
the purchasing, design, and estimating of jobs / products.
* Keeps updated on the events in the asbestos abatement / hazardous waste removal
industry in order to remain competitive and ahead of the competition.
* Enforce the use of the functional organization and management direction.
* Cooperate with and assist the field installation crews in understanding the project
and particular needs of the customer.
* Promote the ideal within the company that customer service and quality is the
top priority and that each person is here to support those priorities.
* Initiate submittal process on all bids.
* Schedule preconstruction meetings.
* Prepare budget estimates, proposals, and cost proposals with customers and / or
clients.
* Delegate the overload of bid quotes or tasks to others through the corresponding
DVP.
* Review each job with the Project Management Team so that everyone understands
their responsibilities in executing their jobs in support of the work.
* Track jobs with the assistance of the Project Management Team and maintain contractor/client
relationships through effective communication before, during, and after job completion.
* Communicate with the Project Management Team, including the Foremen and Project
Manager, to identify, describe, and request for Change Orders that deviate from
the established, defined scope.
* Submit weekly reports to Chief Estimator or DVP.

Desired Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications


* Three or more years of experience as an Estimator or Project Manager in a construction
or environmental / engineering firm with sales in excess of $5-8 million per year.
Five or more years of experience as a cost estimator in the abatement, demolition,
and/or construction industry preferred.
* High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) Degree in
Business or related field, or Bachelors of Science (B.S.) Degree in Environmental
/ Engineering or related field preferred
* Requires experience in estimating abatement, hazardous materials removal, and
demolition. Projects must include pricing, purchasing, and field project management
experience
* Traveling will be required within the local geographic area (150 miles), approximately
50% per month.
* Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability
to speak in Spanish a plus.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities


* Track record of successful management of project schedules and budgets.
* Ability to work as a team in a department with one or more employees.
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects in an effective and efficient manner.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic financial, construction, and project
summary reports.

agencies, or members of the business community.

and coordinate with personnel and department heads.
* Excellent knowledge of the construction and environmental industry and trends
impacting the company's business operations and the industry as a whole.
