General Job Description

The Help Desk Analyst will investigate and resolve software and hardware problems of computer users. The individual will provide support for MPR computers, operating systems, application software, telephones and video conferencing systems. The Help Desk Analyst is expected to take ownership of user incidents and requests, resolve a variety of technical tier 1 and tier 2 hardware and software incidents, and be proactive when dealing with user issues. In addition, the Help Desk Analyst will participate in team efforts to achieve and support company objectives, including the research and development of new technologies. Education

M Squared Consulting Responsibilities are expected to include, but will not be limited to:
  • Manage the planning and delivery of multiple projects across various platforms/systems and timeframes
  • Coordinate complex tasks and deliverables across multiple, separate project teams to ensure on time, on budget delivery of new services, products, capabilities and functionality
  • Navigate across organizational boundaries to plan, direct or conduct analyses of projects
  • Maintain and continuously refine a comprehensive Program roadmap showing key deliverables, milestones and associated timeframes, with supporting detailed plans
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders in the brokerage, retirement and wealth group as necessary; lead and resource managers collaborate and facilitate with project managers across work streams to identify opportunities to optimize the delivery roadmap and maximize the effectiveness
  • Maintain and manage communications with subject matter experts and stakeholders across the organization to ensure stakeholders have a shared vision and insights into the program
  • Prepare periodic updates (dashboards, status reports, scorecards, etc.) for presentation in multiple venues, including preparation of presentations for senior leadership
  • Identify, manage and effectively mitigate complex and high impact tangible and intangible risks that span multiple projects or otherwise pose threats to the program's success
  • Effectively track and/or manage successful resolution of program issues and escalated project issues to minimize or avoid adverse impact to success
  • Prepare and communicate program financials (Budget, Forecast, Actual) to relevant stakeholders
  • Measure and communicate results and outcomes, with traceability to program business case and strategic business objectives
  • Gather and document key lessons learned and best practices upon completion of each project and at any other appropriate interval throughout the program's lifecycle
  • Create program documentation in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines, post to shared databases as appropriate and required

Consultant Expertise
Industry - Financial Services Industry
  • ideally client-specific from within brokerage, wealth management and/or retirement
  • management consulting background is preferred
Functional
  • Experience managing large, complex and strategic enterprise programs to successful outcomes working with a wide array of stakeholders and multi-million dollar budgets
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - ability to build powerful and accurate presentations
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities effectively, and maintain focus on the "goal"
Cultural Alignment
The M Squared consultant in this role will exude "executive presence," moving comfortably and effectively within a large corporate structure. Polished and savvy, this consultant will demonstrate proficiency in all program/project management disciplines. Deep program budget, coordination and communication management experience are required. In addition to having executive gravitas, this consultant must be a collaborative team player who is able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Knowledge Transfer Plan
M Squared will manage knowledge transfer of engagement deliverables to a designated successor as the engagement draws to a close. Our focus will be on ensuring that all project artifacts (timelines, communications, reports, documentation, etc.) are accessible and properly stored. As necessary, our consultant will mentor a successor to ensure a smooth transition of any ongoing project elements.

Engagement Logistics
Work will be onsite in San Francisco and will require full-time effort. There may be some opportunity for remote work after an initial ramp-up period. The client estimates an engagement term of six months with the likelihood of add-on phases that could extend into 2015.
