Subject: GISD Job Openings and a Hiring Event next week

Hi All - I want to share a few job openings that Goodwill Industries of San Diego County currently has available, as well as a Hiring Event that is scheduled fornext Wednesday.

1) Please note: it no longer required for entry-level Cashier candidates to possess at least 6 months of cash register experience. This kind of experience is preferred, but not required. Please note that many of your entry-level candidates without cash register experience may now be considered for these positions. They must, however, be sharp candidates that are capable of learning this skill on the job.

2) I have included an updated flyer that lists all our current job postings reflected on the GISD website.

3) We are having a GISD Hiring Event coming up on Wednesday, 4/16, at our Poway Bookstore (13140 Poway Road., Poway, CA 92064) from 10am - 1pm. Please review the attached flyer and share it with any qualified candidates that you come across. As the flyer mentions, we ask all interested candidates to apply online (www.sdgoodwill.org) for any of these positions in advance, and to print out their application and bring it with them to the interview. Again, all participants who attend these events will be guaranteed interviews with the Hiring Managers. Specifically, we will be conducting interviews for Lead Bookseller positions (Poway), but we will also be looking for Bookstore Manager and Bookstore Assistant Manager candidates for the Encinitas Bookstore (I have included brief overview of the positions below, but you'd want to go to the GISD website for the full job descriptions). As the flyer also states, we will be accepting donations at this event, with a chance to win a nice prize.
