Work in Beautiful Monterey California. Immediate opportunity for a Network Systems
Administrator-intermediate! 1-2 month contract providing Administration support.

Responsibility: 6- years of experience in the field of Network Administration to
include Network security, firewall, DMZ design, IPSec VPN, Network monitoring,
Network gateways, Network design / topologies, and Networking protocols. Develops
and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots
network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Recommends
and implements upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical
support and guidance to users. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts,
practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is
expected. Reports to a manager.

Skills Required: Experience and expertise in Cisco based IP networks (ios, routers,
switches, firewalls, proxy appliances), VPN, TCP/IP and packet analysis, network
topologies (design and maintenance), SIPRNET. Preferred experience with Sidewinder,

Scope of Work:

contract-to-hire)

JOB DUTIES


* Primary focus of this position is to provide technical support to Marines in the
field.
* Provide detailed reports to the project office, and assist in maintaining a knowledge
base available to the Operating Forces for self-help services.
* The ideal candidate should understand the overall bigger picture of how the COC
works. For instance:

* The different versions and how they differ (advantages/disadvantages to different
types of teams that are using the COC).
* Overall infrastructure of the COC.
* Network connectivity issues related to performance of the COC.
* When using the COC it comes with everything including the tent.
* Experience with COC Tents:

* Familiar with expeditionary shelters (BASE-X).
* Familiarity with Tactical Generator and HVAC systems (MEP, COC GETT, ECU) and
electrical grounding. Generator Technician training ideal, not required.
* General knowledge/experience of Command Center operations.
* Knowledge of basic COC peripheral equipment setup and configuration (plotters,
printers, smartboard, projectors, etc).
* Experience with CPOF/C4I systems:

* Familiarity with Operation and/or Administration of the Command Post of the Future
(CPOF) servers and clients desirable (particularly the integration of TMS track
data in the CPOF COP, as well as configuration of the Publish and Subscribe Server
(PASS) service).
* Operational experience with Army Battle Command System (BCS) such as MCS and CPOF
is acceptable.
* Functional knowledge of:

* Microsoft Server technologies (Windows and Exchange).
* NetApp Network Attached Storage (NAS) device configuration, and troubleshooting,
to include functional knowledge of RAID technologies.
* Experience working with virtualization technologies (VMware).
* Software experience with Windows XP, System Security Administration, Microsoft
Exchange, and Windows Server technologies.
* Basic Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and/or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
2007 (MOSS) administration skills are desirable.
* Experience with Cisco networking.
* Experience with Video Servers ideal (Windows-based such as Jupiter).
* Knowledge of Video Tele-Conference (VTC) and Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies
and equipment.

SKILLS REQUIRED


* Experience with Combat Operations Center (COC) and/or CPOF.
* Experience with SIPRNET and other secure releasable networks.
* Systems Administration (both Windows & Unix), TCP/IP networks to include configuration
