 SHIP SUPERINTENDENT
Defense contractor seeks Ship Superintendents. Accepting entry level and experienced applicants. Responsible for the successful execution of ship repair packages. Ensure activities are executed in accordance with established specifications, budgets and schedules. Applicant must have the ability to read and interpret work specifications and drawings. Communication and computer skills are required. Applicant must be a US citizen.

MATERIAL EXPEDITOR
CMSD is looking for a highly motivated individual to assume the position of Material Expeditor. Background in Structural, experience in research, procurement, tracking, and expediting of various naval/marine materials in support of production schedules is a must. Must possess the ability to review production schedules and place field order material requisitions. Thorough understanding of estimating practices and material list development utilizing Navy standard drawings is a requirement. This person shall have the ability to interface with Customers, Vendors, Program / Production Management, and Suppliers. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Internal systems include Jamis Reports/Visual, Dekker & IMS. Previous Ship repair experience a plus.

MATERIAL SUPPORT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Responsible for purchase order revision requests from accounting, preparations of all internal and external audits and create consolidated Bill of Material in preparation of TAR negotiations. Assist Buyers with estimating and procurement of material. Be a self motivator with a good work ethic, have excellent organizational skills and be able to manage multiple tasks. Requires the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, both written and orally. Position requires full computer proficiency in MS Windows 7 operating system environment and excellent skills in MS Office Word and Excel 2007. Knowledge in Microsoft Access and Viso a plus.

QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR
Implements and applies the Company Quality Inspection System. Familiar with ISO Q9001-2008 Quality Management Systems . Ability to read and interpret work specifications, standards, references, and drawings, in addition to having a background in shipyard or related trade. Inspects CMSD trades and subcontractor work for compliance to specification. Some computer skills needed. NDT and/or NBPI certifications a plus. Must be US Citizen.
RIGGERS
Journey-level: with a min 5 yrs experience. Trades-levels: with a min 2-3 years shipyard rigging experience in removing and installing equipment. Must be US citizen.

OUTSIDE MACHINIST
Journey-level applicants with 10 yrs exp or more and Trades-level with minimum 3 yrs exp., on reviewing drawings, valves , turbine systems, main propulsion diesel engines, ship service turbine generators, ship service diesel generators, pumps (all types) and be familiar with flushing shipboard systems. Must be US Citizen.



ESTIMATOR
Minimum 4 yrs experience necessary. Must be able to read blueprints & establish material requirements. Experience as a supervisor in Trades a plus, but not a requirement. Computer literate, familiar with MSOffice Suite: Excel/Access/Word.

SHIPFITTER
Journey-level: with a min 5 yrs experience. Trades-levels: with a min 3 years shipyard experience. Helpers: with a min 1 year shipyard experience. Must be US Citizen.

WELDER/FABRICATOR-WATERTIGHT DOOR SHOP
Immediate openings for Welder/Fabricator, 3-5 yrs. experience. Must pass weld test (FCAW, GTAW, and SMAW). Ability to read drawings, layout, position, align, fit and weld together parts, using jigs, hand tools and welding torch. Ability to set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters and drill presses.

SHEETMETAL WELDER
Journeyman with 3 yrs exp. must be able to certify in Tig and Mig welding processes for alum, galv and cres. Must be US citizen.

PIPE WELDER
Journeyman with 5 – 10 yrs. Shipboard/shipyard exp, know marine-piping systems, certify to Tig & able to pass welding test requirements. Must be US citizen.
Ability to acquire Rapid Gate Credential required.
