  *   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering school,  MBA a plus

  *   At least 15 years of maintenance and operations experience or the equivalent in chemical, petrochemical or related continuous process manufacturing with working knowledge of furnace and boiler operations

  *   Extensive knowledge of engineering tools, systems, practices commonly used in the petrochemical and pipelines industries including chemical/maintenance operations and regulation.

  *   Experience utilizing and in depth knowledge of API, ANSI, ASME Industry Standards

  *   Experience and knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 (PSM)

  *   Experience and knowledge of TAR planning and execution

  *   Must have an advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable Codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.

  *   Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with other engineering disciplines, construction project managers, and clients.

  *   Strong bias towards safety with familiarity with process and personnel safety systems

  *   Demonstrated ability to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards

  *    Proven leadership and team building skills with the ability to delegate and hold people accountable

  *   Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of employees within the organization as well as regulatory bodies and the local community with the ability to resolve conflicts

  *   Capable of identifying and evaluating mechanical system options including developing initial, operating, and maintenance costs

  *   Provides analysis of innovation vs. risk on projects, and sets appropriate direction for projects based on this analysis
