Job Duties:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Cylinder Head Rebuilding, Rod Resizing, Engine Boring and Honing,
Crankshaft balancing and Polish, Assist with Engine Assembly, Interacts with walk-in and telephone
customers to identify needs and expectations. Maintains communication with customers during the
project and following completion. Processes customer payment transactions--cash, check and credit
card. Interacts with vendors. Researches and orders all necessary parts for engine completion. Ensures
business operations are performed daily. Effectively manages multiple tasks. Collaborates with
management to identify process improvements. Consistently projects and maintains a favorable public
image. Fosters a team environment, in addition to performing independently. SECONDARY
RESPONSIBILITIES-- Engine Tear Down and Cleaning. Performs maintenance and repair on machinery as
needed. Janitorial services and building maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS-- Education-- Actual work
experience may be equal to education requirement. Experience-- Minimum 3-5 years of automotive
machine shop experience. Minimum 1 year retail services experience. Skills-- Must be able to perform
basic math, including formulas using both standard and metric measurements. Must be able to read a
micrometer. Requires excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to practice good time management
and to multi-task. Requires prioritization skills. SPEED SPECIALTIES LLC COMPETENCIES-- Equipment--

SF600 FLOW BENCH, PNEUMATIC VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR, BALANCER, CRANKSHAFT
POLISHER, DRILL PRESS, ROD RESIZING MACHINE, ROD CAP GRINDER, SONIC CHECKER, JET WASH
SPRAY CABINET, BEAD BLASTER, AIRLESS BLASTING EQUIPMENT, OVERHEAD ENGINE HOIST, DIAL
BORE GAUGES, ASSORTED GRINDERS AND AIR POWER TOOLS, 10 TON PRESS MACHINE, ROD
HEATER MACHINE, AIR COMPRESSOR, ASSORTED HAND TOOLS, SHOPVAC, PC, TELEPHONE, 10 KEY
