Global Product Marketing Manager
GLOBAL PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER
Hydranautics, an industry leader in membrane manufacturing, currently has a great career opportunity for a Global Product Marketing Manager. Under limited supervision, is responsible for driving the growth of the product lines by developing and implementing winning strategic marketing plans for domestic and international markets. Develop an understanding of market segmentation to target and position the product line. Product marketing plans also include target market assessment, competitor evaluation, product requirement specifications, pricing, placement, and promotion. Manage product life cycle from product development to obsolescence. Responsible for trade shows, promotional materials & advertising. Some typical duties include:
Accountable for the product line P&L and strategy.
Understand and analyze market segmentation, applications, customer needs, competition, market trends, and dynamics to support strategies to target new opportunities and overcome threats.
Conduct primary and secondary market research to understand and articulate customer requirements in terms of clearly defined product specifications.
Analyze product placement by describing the key features of the application (points of similarity) and Hydranautics’ points of differentiations in partnership with Sales and Technology departments.
Forecast product line volumes, revenues, profit margins with input from Sales, Manufacturing, Ops.
Contribute to the development of product and technology roadmap for the division.
Develop the requirements and business case for new products.
Drive product line decisions including product changes, resource priorities, obsolescence, etc.
Set product line pricing strategy and work with sales team on proposals for larger opportunities.
Make pricing and go-no go decisions for non-standard product inquiries.
Facilitate business development through training of the sales force, customer visits, building relationships with key influencers and customers.
Create message and content for marketing materials including advertisement, product literature, case studies, tradeshows, web site, press release, newsletters, etc.
Champion the product line through presentations at conferences and assisting with tradeshows.
Develop product service strategy with Technical Service department.
Manage global prospect pyramids from lead generation to revenue generation using CRM sales tools.
Coordinate trade show events, seminars, sales meetings and related activities including interaction with Event Management & Promoters, promotional materials and equipment retrieval and setup.
Administer marketing subscriptions, industry/trade memberships and corporate event sponsorships.
Create and distribute marketing communications, such as press releases, customer newsletters.
Work with global marketing team members, outside artists and publication vendors to develop written graphic materials, advertisements & multimedia packages (letters, DVD/Video, graphic displays, trade event displays/structures) in accordance with Nitto Denko brand image standards
Work successfully within a matrix organization with cross-functional teams and leadership including but not limited to Sales, R&D, Production, Logistics, Technical Services, Customer Services and Key Account Managers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Requires either BS Marketing and minimum 5 years product marketing experience in the water or membrane industry with knowledge of water treatment technologies, membrane separations or process separations-OR-BS Engineering (or Science) and MBA and minimum 5 years product marketing experience in any industry.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing global product strategies.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex specifications at a level typically obtained with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Scientific field.
Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Ability to obtain results through peers in a global matrix-organization structure.
Ability to conceptualize and develop strategic plans and execute tactical action plans to realize them.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and negotiate effectively.
Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 35%.
