Conduct special studies and analyses of financial practices and procedures and make recommendations to promote efficiency in the area of cash management. As a member of the Program Management Team, manage a designated portion of a Navy surface ship repair package including the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems in engineering, crew berthing, electronic/combat system suites, and mission critical spaces. Maintain the Material Status Reports (MSR’s) in the top level project folders. Work with Material Planners, Ship Superintendents, Craft Managers, Craft Supervisors, Craft Personnel & Buyers to determine & coordinate priorities of material within each top level project. Responsible to resolve schedule impact delivery issues and coordinate revised delivery dates with the Material Planners, Material Supervisors, Craft Supervisors, Craft Personnel or others as needed. Update the database Expedite Notes with revised delivery/supplier information. Write Condition Reports for various deficiencies, discrepancies and issues for both received and un-received material. Submit weekly material status reports for each project to the Government. May locate and distribute materials to specified production areas. Perform other peripheral duties as directed by Supervision.

Removal and installation of ships equipment, to include: shafts, bearings, propellers, of equipment during dry docking. 5 years of shipyard experience required. Must be able to read precision tools: i.e. micrometers and verniers. Must successfully pass Outside Machinist test.

Providing general assistance with cleaning, painting, other duties as assigned. Will support and assist department in removal and installation of ships equipment, to include: shafts, bearings, propellers, of equipment during dry docking. Must have a mechanical aptitude and relative background.
