Job description:

This is a Contracts Manager position that will administer and negotiate contracts
with an emphasis on Department of Defense (DoD) agencies for San Diego, CA headquarters
and all satellite offices. Prepare and review requests for proposals (RFPs), supervise

·        Provide systems backups, system restorations of DDS-M/R equipment.

·        Provide Information Assurance administration (firewalls and intrusion detection)
of DDS-M/R components

·        Support the optimization of system performance and resource management
of DDS-M/R devices. Configure DDS for user and user groups, email and browser applications
and apply Operating System (OS)/application security patches as necessary according
to DOD/USMC standards and policies

·        Understand WAN/LAN technologies (routing/switching), Information Assurance
(firewalls/HBSS), backup processes, Protocol's (TCP/IP, SMNP, SMTP, BGP, EIRGP).

·        Proficient with MS Exchange, Active Directory and Office products: Outlook,
Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·        Demonstrate attention to detail with good organizational skills

Education:

·        Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related technical
discipline and at least 6 years' experience with USMC Tactical Communications.

·        High School diploma or GED and at least ten (10+) years' experience working
with Marine Corps Tactical Communications may be substituted in place of the degree
requirement.

·        CompTIA Security+ certification or certification within 3 months for DOD
8570 qualification at level 1 or 2.

Security clearance: Yes, this role requires the ability to acquire and maintain

Education: The candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in one of the following
areas: Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Operations Research, Industrial
Engineering, or Mathematics.

Experience: The successful candidate will be a DoD Supply Chain SME expert possessing
significant experience (10+ years) in analyzing and improving Department of Defense
(DoD) supply chain and related logistical processes.

**Experience in one of the DoD Inventory Control Points (DLA or Service-connected)
is desirable.

Key Role/Position Description:

·        Sound analytical capabilities coupled with an emphasis in one or more of
the following areas, is a must: financial reporting and management; acquisition
management; supply chain processes; transportation and distribution networks and
processes; and an in-depth understanding of the enterprise-level interdependencies
amongst these various functional areas.

·        Support the development, analyses, and coordination efforts required to
support the delivery of Executive-level decision briefs at the Defense Logistics
Agency (DLA). These briefs will be focused on the initiatives and efforts to drive
cost efficiencies across the agency utilizing DLA's strategic levers.

·        The ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
across the DLA claimancy is important.

·        Support the efforts to identify, quantify, and prioritize "high value"
opportunities to remove barriers associated with the attainment of DLA's cost savings
initiatives.

Additional Qualifications:

·        DAWIA certifications in Acquisition Logistics or Program Management is
desirable.

·        Knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement techniques such as Lean / Six
Sigma.
