the appropriate forms for the process control. Request the material from
receiving warehouse, and provide the production employees with tools and
auxiliary equipment to perform their jobs in their work area. Distribute work among
the operators and line workers. Verify the attendance of the employees.
Participate in the supervision of hourly employees. Serve as frontline leader
for processing and packaging personnel. Monitor the performances of all
employees working under his/her direction. Maintain the self-esteem of

Job Summary:
Provides Subject Matter
Expertise for the automated and manual testing of various Tactical Data Link
(TDL) processing systems. This is performed for the purpose of requirements

system certifications. This position requires the employee to support all
aspects of system level architecture definition, test planning, test execution,

expert that will develop new methodologies and procedures for enhancing the

Essential Functions:
- Independently
develops complex TDL test architectures to permit the accurate and
detailed assessment of system, functional, and performance requirements.
- Generates
required reports which include test status, defect, and final test
reports. These reports fully describe and report on the results of an
executed event.
- Utilizes
UNIX scripts, Microsoft Office tools, specialty applications and programs
to support requirement evaluations and testing (e.g. Vi, MS Project).
- Performs
setup and operation of required Tactical Data Link (TDL) equipment and
support test systems without direct supervision or guidance.
- Establishes
the test architecture necessary to verify TDL test programs.
- Implements
complex system problem isolation/detection and resolution techniques
during test events which are demonstrative of logical, deductive reasoning
ability to identify defects and their sources using independent discretion
and reasoning.
- Provides
training/education and limited project supervision of various levels of
experience.
- Independently
performs research, analysis and development of test cases based on
Military Standard defined TDL's (e.g. MIL-STD 6016 and MIL-STD-3011).
- Develops and
configures Ethernet based networking architectures used for advanced TDL

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering/computer science, or other

Pest Control Technician/Horticulture

The position of Pest Control
Coordinator (PCC) will supervise and participate in controlling a wide variety
of pests utilizing integrated pest management (IPM) strategies. Control methods
include trapping, chemical applications with large and small spray rigs,
utilization of beneficial insects; bait stations, and more. Pest control
methods must assure safety for animal and botanical collections; guest and
employees; and the environment. PCC must exercise measures that comply with all
governmental and San Diego Zoo Global policies, procedures and regulations. PCC
must possess at a minimum a Qualified Applicators Certificate with the CA
Department of Pesticide Regulations. The PCC will train, supervise, and
coordinate the activities of a Pest Control Technician. They will manage work
orders in a timely manner and may be called in for emergencies to address
immediate pest concerns. They may also oversee pest control contractors hired
for general or structural pest control. They will be required to purchase
pesticides, materials and equipment through proper procedures and pre-approvals
with our veterinary staff. The PCC position will maintain daily and monthly use
records and reports, regular inventory and posting requirements, and all other
required training and documentation. They will maintain and repair equipment
and keep facilities clean, organized and well supplied for safe and efficient
pesticide operations. The PCC will monitor budgets and spending while
controlling costs and keeping up-to-date on the best IPM control methods. PCC
must have the ability to use computers (e-mail, Word and Excel documents,
etc.), demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work
effectively with others. Additional qualifications include the ability to lift
moderate to heavy weight, and two-way radio traffic, and possess a valid
California driver license. Three or more years of pest control experience, and
Categories B (landscape maintenance) and/or F (aquatic advisor) licenses with
the CA Department of Pesticide Regulations are desirable. Applicant must be at
least 18 years of age to apply. Applicant must be available any of the (7) days
of the week. Scheduled hours per week will be approximately 40.
Senior Construction and Maintenance

Applicant must know how to operate a
variety of light, medium and heavy duty motorized vehicles, such as but not
limited to trucks, forklifts, telescoping material handler, skiploader, skid
steer loader, wheel loader, backhoe, dozer, excavator dump truck, water truck,
as well as other equipment. Must be proficient in performing tasks such as
erosion control, moving and relocating large rocks and boulders, road and
parking lot grading, hauling material, trenching to grade for the installation
of drainage and other types of piping and other tasks. Must have knowledge of
equipment maintenance and will clean, lubricate equipment used. Must have
knowledge of surveying methods and be able to read plans, shoot grades and
record. Must be a team player that is able to work with others. Must be self
motivated and able to be productive when working alone and with others. Other
trade duties besides equipment operating will be required as this position is
part of a comprehensive Construction and Maintenance department for a large
facility. Hours scheduled will be approximately 40 hrs/wk. Must be available
any of the (7) days of the week. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid CA driver license required.
