For all interested parties:

 

Councilmember Sherri Lightner is hosting a training fair in conjunction with the San Diego Workforce Partnership and the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation and our hope is that your job seekers would like to attend.

 

The Connecting to Careers Training Fair is scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 8 a.m. to noon at Golden Hall in the San Diego Concourse, 202 C St., San Diego, CA 92101.

 

The event is designed to connect hundreds of job seekers, including students and returning vets, with information about San Diego’s hottest jobs and how to land them. Some of San Diego’s biggest companies will be there along with staffing agencies, training providers and educational institutions. Please see the attached flyer for information and for more details. It will be a great community event.

 

The schedule of events is as follows:

 

7:30 a.m. Event Registration

8:15 a.m. – 9 a.m. – Keynote Speaker

8 a.m. – Exhibitor Hall Opens

9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.  – Round I Panels

10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. – Break (Exhibitor Hall Open)

10:45 a.m. – 11:45 am – Round II Panels

12:00 pm – Exhibitor Hall Closes
