Subject: Passing info about free training (IT, Six Sigma, PMP, etc) to fellow NAVNET members Hi, fellow NAVNET member. If you were at this month's NAVNET breakfast, you may remember me passing information regarding free online certification programs. I'm sending this email to invite all you to connect with me on LinkedIn, and to pass along that information in case you didn't get it. About me: I'm a prior-enlisted Marine captain with a 20-year record of superior performance across a wide range of duties. I live in San Diego and I'm transitioning right now (EAS 3/31/12) into the local job market. I want to add as many NAVNET members as possible to my network. Whether you're still on active duty or not, or whether you're still in the San Diego area or not, somewhere down the road we may be able to help each other or partner up to help somebody else. If you choose to connect with me on LinkedIn, and just indicate you're my friend when you're prompted to indicate how you know me. About the free training: - Microsoft Elevate America is a program offers free certifications through the department of labor in certain parts of the country, including San Diego. - Able-Disabled Advocacy in San Diego offers scholarships to veterans who want to get certifications in IT, Six Sigma, Project Management, and more. You can download a PDF document with specific information and links to those from my LinkedIn profile, or find it yourself by searching online for "Microsoft Elevate America" and "Able-Disabled Advocacy". Best wishes to you in your current and future pursuits. Sincerely, Richard McWilliams Captain, USMC http://www.linkedin.com/in/rgmcwilliams Job Title: Become a Middle School Teacher! Teach Memphis!
