Help the Welder setup the equipment and assist in
clean-up.

Fire Watch may be expected to communicate by
two-way portable radio. Training will be provided on the jobsite as required.

Fire Watch may be required to wear “self-contained
breathing apparatus.” Facial hair and glasses must not interfere with the seal
area of the respiratory equipment.
·
Fire Watch will typically work as part of a field

Job Description:
- Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
- Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
- Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Job Description:

Tack parts together in preparation for welding.
·
Setup and operate welding equipment.
·
Visually inspect completed welds to assure
adherence to specifications.
·
Perform precise fitting work on components.
·
Be able to read and layout own work off
blueprints and drawings.
·
Be able to certify in Sil-Braze testing.
·
Utilize pipe wrap around, hand level and pipe
scriber.
·
Use torch – brazing.
Requirements:
·
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.
·
Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans,
and specifications.
·
Must demonstrate the ability to work well with
others in a commercial and/or industrial work environment.
·
The individual must be able to evaluate the use
of various resources and make knowledgeable decisions in regard to safety and
company standards and policies.
·
Must have full range of mathematic skills,
including shop math fractions and angles for layouts.
·
Able to read a tape measure and pass the written
weld test (Workmanship Training).
·
Have good operating knowledge of valves and how
they work.
·
Understand blueprints and pipe symbols from
arrangement drawings.
·
Ability to install piping, flange bolts, gaskets
and various types of valves.
·
Ability to install socket weld fittings, weld
sleeves and butt weld piping.
·
Ability to operate chop saw and grinder.
·
Ability to install flange type piping - all
sizes.
·
Ability to install valves and fittings - all
sizes.
·
Ability to install butt weld piping with chill
rings cuni pipe.
·
Ability to install OD tubing.
