Financial Analyst II for San Diego Ship Repair in the billings group prepares
invoices, vouchers and statements. Reviews and analyzes financial documentation
such as government funding documents, cost performance reports, and contract
funds status reports. Analyzes accounting documents for accuracy and reconciles
complex accounts requiring contact with customers. Conduct special studies and
analyses of financial practices and procedures and make recommendations to
promote efficiency in the area of cash management. Examine contractor internal
data both to validate consistency of reports to the government and reasonableness
of funding allocated to cost accounts. May conduct fact-finding sessions, if
required. Oversee the review and analysis of financial documentation and
evaluates performance measurement criteria. Develop and maintain tracking
system to monitor obligation expenditures. Maintain financial records and
journals of program and project operations. Perform other related duties as

As

surface ship repair package including the installation, modification, and
repair of complex equipment and systems in engineering, crew berthing,
electronic/combat system suites, and mission critical spaces. Ensure assigned
work is completed on time and within established budgets. Resolve all problems
that cannot otherwise be resolved by assigned craft supervision, as well as
working with the customer, subcontractors, and other departments to keep a
minimum of interferences and distractions from impacting the progression of
work. Key job responsibilities: conduct ship checks; attend meetings;
participate in and assist craft personnel in setting up production schedules
and manpower projections by reading and interpreting detailed work items,
drawings, and related budgeting and man-hour reports; assist with the make/buy
process and subcontractor selection; ensure craft supervision and
subcontractors are aware of milestones, key events, and target dates for
assigned work. Ability to assess production progress and discuss production
status with the Project Management Team; interface with other shipyard
departments including Estimating, Quality Assurance and Testing, Environmental,
and Production Support.

Support
the CM/EM contracts in generating solicitations to various subcontractors that
are in compliance with government and BAE procurement policies and procedures.
Receive quotes, conduct evaluations and make award selections and cost and
price analysis prior to submission to the customer. Maintain electronic filing
and maintenance of records, track subcontractor data and maintain excel
database reports. Assist Senior Subcontract Administrators in resolving
contractual issues with subcontractors.

The Environmental Supervisor will be responsible for:
implementing and maintaining programs for environmental protection and
compliance; act as a liaison with local, state, and federal environmental
agencies; inspection and oversight of Best Management Practices; participating
in emergency planning activities; integrating environmental programs in the
production environment; and training of employees and subcontractors. The job
has an emphasis in air quality regulation, especially marine coating rules and
records, SPCC, Over Water Transfers, TSCA, Storm Water, Wastewater Treatment,
Hazardous Waste management and Environmental Sustainability. Some supervisorial
responsibilities required.
