  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Welder/Fitter(11) (SCW0912)
Job Description:
·          Fit and Tack parts together in preparation for welding
·          Setup and operate welding equipment
·          Visually inspect completed welds to assure adherence to specifications
·          Remove excess slag
·          Perform precise fitting work on components

Requirements:
·          Must have a minimum of 3-5 years ship repair experience and qualifications.
·          Must be able to speak and understand Basic English

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications (KSAQ):
·          Ability to work: weld with stick rod (7018 & 12018) in all positions and become/be certifiable in 1/16’ flux core wire in all positions and unlimited thickness plate.
·          Must be able to burn efficiently and with good quality using a hand-cutting torch
·          Blueprint reading and layout skills
·          Ability to troubleshoot minor welding equipment problems
·          Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
·          Must demonstrate the ability to work well with others in a commercial and/or industrial work environment.

  • Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.

*Roofer (EE0912)
Fulltime $17.00 per hr., No Benefits, Job location:  As Required
Cover roofs of structures with shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, or related materials. May spray roofs, sidings, and walls with material to bind, seal, insulate, or soundproof sections of structures.

Job Description:
  • Inspect problem roofs to determine the best repair procedures.
  • Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs.
  • Align roofing materials with edges of roofs.
  • Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Cement or nail flashing strips of metal or shingle over joints to make them watertight.
  • Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Cut felt, shingles, or strips of flashing to fit angles formed by walls, vents, or intersecting roof surfaces.
  • Install vapor barriers or layers of insulation on flat roofs.
  • Cut roofing paper to size using knives; and nail or staple roofing paper to roofs in overlapping strips to form bases for other materials.
